A film camera app where you shoot a roll and develop it together

Proofsheet is a film camera for iPhone. Load a roll, shoot with a small viewfinder and a thumb-wheel wind-on, and see nothing until it develops. Then rock the phone like a darkroom tray. Every roll comes back as a proof sheet, and a crew roll lets friends shoot together.

What is Proofsheet?

It is a camera that makes you wait. You pick a roll with 12, 24 or 36 frames and a film look, shoot with a small viewfinder, and see nothing until the roll develops. Then you rock the phone like a tray in a darkroom, and the prints come up one by one.

The pictures are saved to your Photos library, so nothing lives only in the app. See the film camera and the darkroom.

Every roll becomes a proof sheet

A proof sheet is the page a lab returns with every frame of the roll printed small. Proofsheet makes one for each roll: film strips, frame numbers, edge print and red grease-pencil circles on the frames you pick. Export it as 9:16 or 1:1, save prints or cut a reel.

Read more about the proof sheet.

Crew rolls: everyone shoots, it develops at once

Send a ticket to the group chat. Each friend shoots on their own phone with the same film look, and every phone develops at the same minute. Frames come back to the host by AirDrop or any chat, and the host's phone prints one crew sheet.

There are no accounts and no servers. The ticket is a link, and the roll settings sit in the part after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server. See crew rolls.

Week roll

A week roll holds 24 frames that develop on the day you pick. It turns a normal week into one sheet you open later, like a roll left in a drawer. See the week roll.

Twelve original film looks

Free includes Harbor 400 and Paper Mono. Ten more come with Pro or in three packs: Night, Summer and Archive. The looks are Proofsheet's own digital styles. They are not real film and do not imitate any film or camera brand. See film looks.

Privacy

No accounts, no analytics or advertising SDKs, no tracking. Proofsheet asks only for add-only access to your Photos, so it cannot see your other pictures. Read the privacy policy.
