Twelve original film looks
Proofsheet ships with twelve original film looks, each with its own ISO number and color character. Harbor 400 and Paper Mono are free. The other ten come with Pro or in three packs of three looks. The looks are digital styles and do not imitate any film or camera brand.

Which looks are there?
Harbor 400, Paper Mono, Peach 200, Nightbus 800, Frost 100, Chrome Dust, Sundown 160, Static Mono 3200, Pool Party, Expired 03, Ghost Pop and Snowfield 50. The number is the ISO label of the look, like a number on a box of film.
What is free?
Harbor 400 and Paper Mono are free for everyone, on solo rolls and the week roll. Every crew roll friend also gets the host's look for that roll at no charge. The other ten looks come with Pro or in the three one-time packs.
What are the packs?
Three one-time packs of three looks each.
| Pack | Looks |
|---|---|
| Night | Nightbus 800, Static Mono 3200, Ghost Pop |
| Summer | Pool Party, Sundown 160, Snowfield 50 |
| Archive | Expired 03, Chrome Dust, Peach 200 |
Are these real film stocks?
No. The terms say plainly that film looks are Proofsheet's own digital styles. They are not real film and do not imitate any film or camera brand.
How should I pick a look?
Match the look to the moment. Harbor 400 and Paper Mono are the two free ones. The Night pack is named for evenings, Summer for sun and water and Archive for older, expired-film moods. Preview them when you pick a roll, because the picker shows sample frames through the look you focus.
What else does Pro add?
Up to five active rolls, 36-frame rolls, custom develop times, double exposure, date stamp styles, light leaks, extra sheet layouts, unlimited reels and bigger crew sheets. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
What does each look feel like?
Each look has a one-line character in the picker. Here they are in the order of the picker.
- Harbor 400: warm everyday color, forgiving.
- Paper Mono: clean black and white.
- Peach 200: soft pastel skin and quiet greens.
- Nightbus 800: made for streetlights, with a red glow around highlights.
- Frost 100: cool, crisp and fine grained.
- Chrome Dust: deep blues and punchy contrast.
- Sundown 160: golden hour, all day.
- Static Mono 3200: heavy grain, black and white.
- Pool Party: cyan water and flash-bright skin.
- Expired 03: faded, with magenta drift and unpredictable results.
- Ghost Pop: cross-processed greens and yellows.
- Snowfield 50: bright, low contrast and airy.
How is a look applied?
A look is a stack of steps run on your iPhone when the roll develops: a color grade, a tone curve, grain scaled to the look, a soft vignette and, for some looks, a glow around highlights. Because it runs on the device at full resolution, nothing is uploaded. Grain is seeded from the roll and frame number, so a re-render comes out identical.
Why can I not see the look in the viewfinder?
On purpose. The viewfinder shows the plain scene, and the look appears at the reveal. That keeps the camera honest to the film idea, where you choose a roll before you shoot and find out what it did to the scene later. Pick the look for the light you expect, not for the light you have in the first minute.
Can I change the look after shooting?
No. The look is chosen at the time you load the roll, like film in a body. If you are unsure, load a short 12-frame roll with one look and a second roll with another, then compare the sheets.
What are the extras?
Rolls can add a date stamp in amber digits, drawn from the capture date, and light leaks, which are soft color glows over the frame. Both are switches in the roll setup. Pro adds more date stamp styles, double exposure and push or pull options.
Which look for which situation?
Harbor 400 handles daylight and faces without fuss. Paper Mono suits street scenes and portraits where color distracts. For a night out, the Night pack looks are built for artificial light. For a beach day, the Summer pack covers sun, water and snow. Older, faded moods live in the Archive pack. For a group event, the host picks one look and every friend shoots with it, which keeps the crew sheet consistent. See crew rolls.
What do locked looks look like?
A small lock marks the looks that need Pro or a pack, with a label saying which. Tap one to see the options. Friends who join a crew roll never see locks, because the host sets the look for everyone.
How do I choose a look for a group roll?
Pick a look that flatters most skin tones and most light, such as Harbor 400 for daytime or Nightbus 800 for evenings, and keep it for the whole roll. Everyone sees the same names in the ticket preview before joining.
