Proofsheet features

Proofsheet is built around one idea: shoot a roll, wait, develop. A small viewfinder and a limited roll slow you down. A darkroom reveals the prints. A proof sheet packages the roll, and crew rolls let friends do it together. Each page below covers one part.

What is in the app?

Six parts work together. Start with the camera, then follow the roll through the darkroom to the proof sheet. Film looks decide the color, the week roll gives you a gentle habit, and crew rolls bring friends in. Each page below says what is free and what needs Pro.

How do the parts fit together?

A roll starts in the film camera, where you pick a look and a frame count. When it is time, the darkroom reveals the prints, and the proof sheet packages them. Film looks decide the color, the week roll turns seven days into one sheet, and crew rolls put a group on one roll.

What does Proofsheet leave out?

It has no review screen, no editing after the shot, no video recording and no accounts. Looks are digital styles and are not real film. Everything stays on your iPhone, and developed photos go to your Photos library with add-only access.

What is free and what needs Pro?

Free covers solo rolls, the week roll, two film looks, joining crew rolls and exporting sheets and prints. Pro adds every look, up to five active rolls, 36-frame rolls and bigger crew sheets. Film packs and event rolls are one-time options. See pricing.

Frequently asked questions

What does the free version include?

Unlimited solo rolls with one active at a time, the week roll, two film looks, joining crew rolls and exporting proof sheets and prints.

Do I need friends to use Proofsheet?

No. A solo roll or the week roll works alone. Crew rolls are for parties, trips and weddings.

Where do my developed photos go?

To your Photos library, when you allow add-only access. Undeveloped frames stay inside the app until the roll develops.

Can I preview a film look before I shoot?

The picker shows sample frames, but the viewfinder shows the plain scene. The look is applied when the roll develops.
